Paws-Up! Paddock Rules: Terms & Conditions

By making a booking, you agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions.

1. Exclusive Use

The paddock is available by appointment only and is for exclusive use during your booked time slot.

2. Bookings

Bookings are for 50-minute sessions, starting on the hour. This allows a 10-minute changeover between users.

Please book for the correct number of dogs attending.

The maximum number of dogs permitted is 6. This must not be exceeded.

CCTV is in operation to ensure compliance with bookings and paddock rules.

3. Parking

One vehicle may be parked inside the paddock, using the designated parking and turning area.

Additional parking is available outside the paddock.

If using external parking, all dogs must remain on leads until safely inside the secure field.

A maximum of 3 cars per booking is permitted (1 inside, 2 outside).

Vehicles and their contents are parked entirely at the owner's risk. Paws-Up! accepts no responsibility for loss of, or damage to, vehicles or belongings while parked on site.

4. Changeover & Gate Safety

Please ensure you are back in your vehicle and your dog is secured by the end of your 50-minute session to prevent dogs meeting during changeover.

You are responsible for closing and securing the gate properly when entering and leaving.

The paddock is enclosed with approximately 1.8-metre fencing.

Fencing is a mix of fencing types, including stock fencing. If your dog is capable of jumping, lifting, squeezing under, or fitting through stock fencing, the paddock may not be suitable for your use.

Small dogs or dogs able to fit through stock fencing gaps must be supervised closely at all times.

Paws-Up! Paddock accepts no responsibility for dogs that escape or attempt to escape due to their ability to manipulate or pass through fencing.

5. Public Footpath

A public footpath runs alongside the entrance field near the parking area.

Dogs must be kept on lead in this area, and users should remain mindful of members of the public.

6. Noise Considerations

Please be considerate of neighbouring properties and ensure dogs do not bark excessively or cause disturbances.

7. Late Arrivals

Late arrivals will not extend your booking time. Sessions will still end at the scheduled time.

8. Field Occupancy Issues

If the paddock is still occupied at the start of your booking, please contact 07788 877889 and remain safely in your vehicle until the previous booking has left.

9. Health & Vaccination Requirements

All dogs using the paddock must be:

In good health.

Fully vaccinated.

Up to date with appropriate worming, flea and tick treatments.

Fully vaccinated puppies are welcome.

Rescue dogs arriving from abroad must wait 14 days after entering the UK before using the paddock.

10. Illness

Please do not bring dogs showing signs of illness, including but not limited to:

Coughing

Diarrhoea

Vomiting

Lethargy

11. Supervision

Dogs must be supervised at all times.

Dogs must not be left unattended or tethered to fences, gates, posts or other structures.

You are responsible for your dog's behaviour and safety throughout your booking.

12. XL Bully & Other Exempted Banned Breed Dogs

Paws-Up! welcomes legally exempted XL Bullies and other banned breed dogs to enjoy the paddock.

To use the paddock, owners must ensure their dog:

Has a valid Certificate of Exemption and complies with all current legal requirements.

Is microchipped and permanently neutered, as required by the exemption rules.

Is accompanied by one responsible adult handler per XL Bully/banned breed dog.

If you have more than one dog from your household, you are very welcome to bring them together, provided the 1:1 handler-to-banned-breed-dog ratio is maintained.

Arrival & Use of the Paddock

XL Bullies and other exempted banned breed dogs must arrive on lead and wearing a muzzle, in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.

The lead and muzzle may be removed once the dog is safely inside the fully enclosed paddock, with the gate securely closed and the padlock fitted.

The padlock must remain secured while you are using the paddock.

Only members of the dog's own household may accompany an XL Bully/banned breed dog into the paddock. No additional friends, visitors or non-household members are permitted.

Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult whenever they are in close contact with an XL Bully, in accordance with the legal requirements coming into force on 1 November 2026.

Owners remain fully responsible for ensuring their dog complies with all current legal requirements relating to exempted banned breed dogs.

13. Cleanliness & Conduct

Please pick up all dog waste and dispose of it in the bins provided.

Poo bags are available in the field shelter.

The paddock is a non-smoking and non-vaping area.

Bins are for dog waste only. Please take all other rubbish home.

Failure to clean up after your dog(s) may result in a ban from future bookings.

If you find the paddock in an unsatisfactory condition, please email [email protected], and appropriate action will be taken.

14. Liability

Use of the paddock and any equipment is entirely at your own risk.

Paws-Up! Paddock accepts no responsibility for losses, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses arising from use of the paddock or equipment, except where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.

This includes, but is not limited to, incidents involving dogs escaping or attempting to escape due to their ability to pass through, under or manipulate fencing, including stock fencing.

Owners remain responsible for their dogs, including their behaviour, safety and any injury or damage caused by them.

15. Damage

You are responsible for your dog's behaviour, including preventing:

Digging

Fence damage

Escape attempts

Damage to paddock equipment or facilities

Any damage must be reported immediately on 07788 877889 or by email to [email protected].

Owners may be charged for damage caused by their dog(s).

16. CCTV Monitoring

CCTV is in place to help ensure the safe and appropriate use of the paddock, monitor compliance with these terms and assist with the investigation of incidents or damage.

CCTV is not continuously monitored.

17. Cancellations & Changing Bookings

Bookings are non-refundable.

If you need to change your booking, we are happy to move your booking to an alternative available slot, provided you give at least 24 hours' notice.

Requests to move a booking must be made by contacting Joanna at 07788 877889 or [email protected].

Bookings cannot normally be moved or transferred with less than 24 hours' notice and no refund will be provided.

No refunds or transfers will be given for late arrivals, missed bookings or unused booking time.

Paws-Up! reserves the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances, including severe weather, safety concerns or circumstances affecting the safe operation of the paddock. Where Paws-Up! cancels a booking, an alternative booking or appropriate resolution will be offered.
