Paws Up! Paddock
Nestled in the heart of the Chew Valley, our peaceful 1.7-acre enclosed paddock offers the perfect escape for you and your dog. Surrounded by breathtaking countryside views, it feels as though you’ve stepped into nature’s very own garden — a place to slow down, breathe, and let your dog simply be a dog.
This is far more than just a flat field. The paddock is fully enclosed by fencing with a mix of mature and developing hedgerows that create a safe, natural boundary. Throughout the seasons, the space comes alive — from wildflowers and rich scents to blackberries in summer and mistletoe in winter — giving your dog a truly enriching environment to explore, sniff, and roam.
Designed with both freedom and peace of mind in mind, the paddock is completely private. With parking for one vehicle inside the secure field (and additional spaces just outside), you won’t encounter other people or dogs during your session, making it ideal for nervous, reactive, or simply freedom-loving dogs.
For those less-than-perfect weather days, a sheltered area is available so your dog can still enjoy their time outdoors, whatever the conditions.
We are discreetly located just off Moorledge Lane, Chew Magna (BS40 8TL), offering a perfect balance of rural tranquillity and easy access.
Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive everything you need for a smooth visit, including directions via Google Maps and What3Words, your gate access code, and an emergency contact number.
Come and experience a space designed for your dog’s enjoyment — and your peace of mind.
Please take a moment to read our Terms & Conditions before your visit to ensure you make the most of your time in the paddock.

XL Bullies are welcome!
At Paws-Up! we believe every dog deserves the chance to run, explore and enjoy some freedom — and that includes legally exempted XL Bullies. We’re very happy to welcome your dog to the Paws-Up! Paddock, with a few simple requirements to help keep everyone safe and make your visit as relaxed as possible.
For XL Bully bookings, we ask that:
🐾 Your dog has a valid Certificate of Exemption and meets all current legal requirements, including being microchipped and permanently neutered.
🐾 There is one responsible adult handler for each XL Bully/banned breed dog. If you have more than one dog from your household, that's absolutely fine — we just ask that the 1:1 handler-to-banned-breed-dog ratio is maintained.
🐾 Your dog arrives on lead and wearing their muzzle. Once safely inside the paddock, with the gate closed and padlock secured, you can remove the lead and muzzle and let them enjoy the space.
🐾 Only members of your own household are permitted in the paddock with your dog — no additional friends or visitors.
🐾 Children under 12 must always be supervised by an adult when in close contact with an XL Bully. This is a legal requirement from 1 November 2026 and will form part of the conditions of your dog's exemption.
These measures aren't about excluding your dog — quite the opposite! - They're about making sure you can enjoy the paddock with confidence, knowing you've got a safe, private space where your dog can run, sniff, explore and just be a dog.
If you're unsure whether your dog meets our requirements, please get in touch before booking. We're always happy to have a chat.
