After spending 16 years in corporate banking, I finally decided in 2023 to swap suits and finance for muddy boots and wagging tails, following my dream of working with dogs every day. I’ve always been fascinated by how dogs think and act. Dogs have been a constant in my life since a young age, mostly I’ve rehomed dogs with past life traumas, with a few puppies in between.
My curiosity led me to dive deeper into canine behaviour while still in the corporate world, and eventually, it inspired me to start my own dog walking and training business.
Spending my days studying canine interactions—whether within a pack or one-on-one—has taught me so much about the importance of communication. I’ve come to realise that many behavioural challenges stem from a miscommunication between human verbal and body language and what dogs instinctively understand. My mission is to help bridge that gap, empowering humans to “speak dog” and build more respectful, engaging, and healthy relationships with their canine companions.
I’ve worked with dogs from all walks of life, and I firmly believe that understanding their state of mind is the key to creating real, lasting progress.
Based in the beautiful Chew Valley, I live with my husband, our young daughter, and our two rehomed Ridgebacks—Zeus and Chika. Teaching my daughter how to communicate with dogs and set healthy boundaries has been one of the most fulfilling parts of family life. Watching her build respectful, trusting relationships with our dogs reminds me daily why I’m so passionate about this work.
I hold a Level 4 PETbc Diploma in Canine Behaviour from the British College of Canine Studies and am a proud member of the Guild of Dog Trainers. While formal qualifications give me a strong foundation, it’s hands-on experience that has shaped my approach the most. Working closely with dogs and their families every day has taught me the value of patience, clarity, and understanding.
